The Associate of Science (AS) degree in general engineering is meant for students pursuing degrees in very specialized engineering fields, such as aerospace and environmental engineering, for which progression degrees at Highline are not available.
Engineers can work in fields such as aerospace, alternative energy, medicine, technology, plastics, and more. Upon graduation, students will: • Have completed the necessary coursework to apply to an engineering program at a four-year college or university.
• Demonstrate knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering. • Demonstrate the ability to analyze and interpret data. • Have been introduced to the techniques, skills and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.
