What you will study

The Associate Degree in Digital Technologies (Advanced Manufacturing) is designed to cover emerging digital manufacturing technologies that will ensure graduates are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to pursue a career within Industry 4.0 technologies, which connect the physical world with the digital world.

In this qualification, students will be trained with emerging technologies including: • Industry 4.0 • industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) • additive manufacturing • digital twinning • supply chain 4.0 • Mindsphere • smart manufacturing • robotics • mechatronics • automation and process control • software applications • cyber security for industrial network.

Students will build the skills required to pursue a career in this rapidly-expanding and in-demand field, and may be suitable for roles as a systems technician, cyber security technologist, advanced manufacturing technician, industrial network design associate, and more.

In the Associate Degree in Digital Technologies (Advanced Manufacturing), students will learn through a blend of practical experience with electrical, electronics and mechanical control applications built on a strong theoretical foundation. They will gain capabilities in configuring, testing, assembly, installation and maintenance of electrical and automation control systems and networks.
