Program Description The Diploma of Design builds the foundation for further study in visual communication, animation and digital technologies. In the diploma course, students will learn the strategies and design-thinking methodologies required to become an adaptable, multidisciplinary designer.

Deakin University's Bachelor of Design (Digital Technologies) enables students to learn about user experience (UX), design strategies, digital technologies and interactive media, to deliver impactful digital solutions for creative and social issues in this changing world.

Students explore core themes including technological entrepreneurship and innovation, design thinking and collaborative practice. Students can customise their degree by choosing electives that spark their interest, such as creative coding, robotics and 3D motion. This unique combination of technical and artistic skills allows students to build a creative and rewarding career beyond the traditional IT and creative arts streams.
