What you will study

Program Description This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the University of Surrey International Study Centre followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Surrey. In your international foundation year you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon successful completion of the pathway program.

International Foundation Year

The Life Sciences International Foundation Year leads to a wide range of degrees in biology and chemistry-related subjects at the University of Surrey. During the International Foundation Year you will study a core unit of general subject skills, and subject-specific units, which are carefully designed for your academic development.

English Language Preparation

The English Language Preparation programme is available for students who need to improve their English language skills in order to reach the required level for your programme at the University of Surrey International Study Centre. After successful completion of the English language programme, you will advance into your international foundation year

Degree Program

Upon completion of the pathway portion of this program, students will enter the Veterinary Biosciences program at the University of Surrey. The unique BSc Veterinary Biosciences course offers specialist training in the biology and research which forms the basis for veterinary science and its associated disciplines.

The University of Surrey's extensive network of partners in clinical practice, industry and research will offer you exceptional learning opportunities, enabling you to explore all aspects of veterinary science, including animal nutrition, veterinary public health and wildlife.

Students will graduate equipped for a diverse range of careers in the veterinary profession, including: • Biosciences research • Diagnostics • Vaccine development • Animal welfare and nutrition • Animal infectious diseases • Food safety • Veterinary ecology

*Please note that Surrey offers two lengths depending on start dates, depending when students begin their International Foundation Year. 1 semester programme June, prior to starting the academic programme in September. 2 semester programme June, prior to starting academic programme in January
