What you will study

The Bachelor of Science in Counselling Psychology provides students with the necessary psychology and counselling theories, knowledge, and skills to start their journey to become a counselling psychologist.

Graduates will learn to design and deliver interventions using psychological theory and research combined with counselling skills to help clients with a range of difficult life issues and/or mental health conditions. They will explore to a range of approaches to improving a sense of wellbeing, alleviating feelings of distress, and resolving crisis for people with physical, emotional, and mental health issues.

Students will examine biological, cognitive, developmental, individual, and social psychological principles throughout their studies that underlie everyday experience and behavior and apply these to a counselling context.
