Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Drama

Program Description At the University of Chester they encourage students to engage with a wide range of approaches to making theatre and performance. This includes looking at traditional forms of theatre, while also engaging with alternative forms of making performance such as devising. There's actor training to do with straight acting, comedy and physical theatre. Students also develop projects to do with making drama in educational and community settings, as well as developing projects in musical theatre and theatre for young audiences. And there are also opportunities to develop skills in areas of technical theatre, such as lighting and sound design, and digital technology. At Chester, they have a thriving performance environment, with regular productions and performances by both undergraduate and postgraduate students. There are regular workshops and guest performances from visiting artists, and opportunities to get work experience through extensive industry links and, of course, three resident, professional theatre companies.
