Bachelor of Arts - French and Francophone Studies - Quebec and Franco-Canadian Studies (RFQ)

Trent University - Peterborough

What you will study

Program Description In the Quebec and Franco-Canadian Studies Specialization, students will take their studies of French beyond grammar and syntax to look at how French is a linguistic and cultural force that exceeds provincial borders. French is rapidly becoming a language of power across the globe and by immersing themselves in the culture, literature, and history of Quebec and French Canada they will build an understanding of the social and political dimensions of Canada’s second official language.

Learn more than just the grammatical and linguistic elements of the French language, examining the challenges and triumphs that have shaped the language culturally, socially, and politically around the globe.
