Program Description The Diploma of Health Sciences can gain students direct entry into second year of Deakin University bachelor degrees in Exercise and Sports Science, Health Sciences, Nutrition Science, Psychological Science, Public Health and Health Promotion, and Biomedical Science. This Diploma will give students a comprehensive understanding of the health of individuals, communities and populations, so that they are prepared to enter a wide variety of undergraduate courses.
Deakin's Bachelor of Psychological Science covers many aspects of human behaviour and personality, and prepares students for a range of careers in the fast-growing health sector. The course also sets them up to pursue further study towards provisional registration as a psychologist. They will have the option of undertaking 140 hours of real-world experience with an industry placement that strengthens their employment prospects and helps them graduate work-ready.
