What you will study
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) at Nipissing University provides a comprehensive and evidence‑based education that prepares students to become competent, compassionate, and professional registered nurses. The program combines theoretical coursework with extensive clinical experience to foster critical thinking, effective communication, and leadership within diverse healthcare environments.
Students study key areas such as anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, health assessment, mental health nursing, medical‑surgical nursing, maternal and child health, and community health. Graduates are eligible to apply for registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and are well prepared for careers in hospitals, clinics, community health organizations, and specialized care facilities, or for further study in advanced nursing practice and research.
