The Master of Science – Economics, AI and Data Science addresses the growing importance of large datasets in decision-making across industry and the public sector. It is designed for individuals seeking to become economists who can conduct credible causal analysis while working fluently with modern data science and machine learning tools. The programme prepares graduates for careers in economic and policy analysis, finance, regulation, research, and consulting, as well as for progression to PhD study.
Situated at the intersection of economics, artificial intelligence, and data science, the programme focuses on how markets are analysed, policies are informed, and complex problems are solved. Students receive rigorous training in microeconomics and macroeconomics alongside specialised instruction in economics-focused data science and AI. The programme also provides exposure to advanced data science techniques through interdisciplinary collaboration with the School of Computer Science.
