Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Graphic Design and Photography

Program Description During the course students will be introduced to the key issues and debates which inform contemporary practice as they develop a critically reflective and self-initiated practice. Students will have the opportunity to engage with the medium of photography in an experimental way and as the course progresses they will evolve a personal practice and visual identity in their chosen genre and context. BA Photography studies culminate in the Art and Design Degree show where students will present a body of work, which has emerged from a personal project created over the course of their final year's study.

Students will be supported in design through research, taking into consideration the needs of client and audience. Acquiring knowledge of the cultural, social and ethical concerns of design, and developing an understanding of their position on these issues, will give students the confidence to push the boundaries of design, exploring its social, commercial and entrepreneurial possibilities.
