University Pathways Fast Track at RMIT UP is an accelerated pathway designed for high-achieving international students, preparing them for university in half the time of a Foundation Studies course. Delivered over one semester by RMIT UP (CRICOS provider number: 01912G), a fully owned entity of RMIT University, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future academic success.

Located in the heart of Melbourne, RMIT UP’s specialist staff support students throughout their journey, while providing opportunities to build global and social networks that contribute to success at RMIT and beyond.

To ensure students get the best start to their studies, RMIT offers careers counselling, as well as academic and welfare support services that can be accessed flexibly.

University Pathways Fast Track features focused, discipline-based streams, allowing students to align their studies with their interests and goals. Available streams include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Art, Design and Architecture, Business, and Communication and Social Context.

Advanced University Diploma - Building Design (Architectural) (C6188) (114568A) The RMIT Advanced Diploma of Building Design (Architectural) prepares students to work as architectural technicians in building design offices and architectural practices. The program focuses on the practical and technical application of design skills, enabling students to create innovative and sustainable designs for residential and commercial projects.

Students develop knowledge across key areas including sustainable design, industry-specific digital tools, drawing and problem-solving, construction technology and processes, project documentation, and architectural project administration. The program also covers materials technology, building services, and planning and building regulations.

Throughout their studies, students build the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders and consultants, preparing them for professional practice in the building design industry.
