University of West London (UWL)
The Extended Masters and Enhanced Extended Masters programmes at the University of West London are intended for students who already have an undergraduate degree but do not meet the entry requirements to study for a Masters degree. Over a full-time semester, students will study four modules specially designed to improve their academic and English language skills:
• Advanced Study Skills • Critical Thinking, Analysis and Evaluation • Statistics • English (Business English on the Enhanced course)
The Enhanced Extended Masters is similar to the Extended Masters, but with a greater focus on improving students’ English skills. It also includes a Business English module, which will allow students to gain a full understanding of this critical subject area.
Once completed, students will progress directly onto the core Masters course.
The MSc Civil Engineering at the University of West London enables students to learn mathematical and statistical methods and techniques for the analysis of engineering problems.
The course allows students to use analytical methods and modelling tools for the analysis and design of civil engineering structures, and to demonstrate their ability to apply relevant analytical and experimental skills when working with structures under technical uncertainty.
Throughout their studies, students will expand their knowledge in various fields of civil engineering, including:
• structural engineering • construction engineering and management • geotechnical engineering • transportation engineering • urban water and hydraulic engineering • environmental engineering • civil engineering systems
Students will develop their ability to use modern IT skills and modelling techniques to solve complex problems. They will have access to dedicated computing labs and civil engineering laboratories, including soil mechanics, concrete, hydraulics and non-destructive testing facilities, as well as a range of digital resources and computer modelling tools.
The requirements for this course are not published yet. Ask us and we will confirm them with the university.
Tell us, and a consultant will go through the entry requirements with you, work out what you already have and what is missing, and take the application from there.
Leave your name and a way to reach you, and a consultant will get in touch in the language you are reading this in.
