More than Geosciences The diverse nature of modern environmental science requires a strong background in a directly applicable science. As a B.S. Geosciences major, Environmental Sciences track, students can choose one of three concentration options in biology, chemistry, or geosciences. Each option requires additional coursework in that discipline beyond the interdisciplinary requirements, including electives that provide either a broad or specialized view of the Earth and its environments. Internship program The Environmental Science internship provides invaluable skills and contacts. Students routinely complete internships locally and nationally, in areas ranging from environmental science education, water sampling and analysis at local and national governmental agencies, environmental testing and consulting, and biological surveying.
