What you will study
On this exciting BSc (Hons) Forensic Science with Criminology and Industrial Placement course, students will learn from experts in the Criminal Justice System and emergency services and get the chance to impress an employer during a placement year. Students go to a range of companies and organizations of varying sizes for their placements, including large multi-national firms, government agencies, the NHS and small to medium sized companies engaged in research, analytical services and manufacturing (for Engineering include civil engineering and construction companies). Learners on this undergraduate course will be taught by industry experts with years of hands-on experience, including Greenwich's Department of Law and Criminology. They'll also work alongside experts from Kent Fire Brigade, the Metropolitan and Kent Police, Counter Terrorism, and other organizations. The University is rated number 1 in London for student satisfaction, and the BSc (Hons) course is accredited by the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences (for which students will receive free membership throughout their studies). Practical facilities allow students to practice scenarios they'll find in the workplace, including crime scene examination rooms and vehicles and an entomology facility. The BSc (Hons) Forensic Science with Criminology and Industrial Placement degree will equip students with the broad scientific training and transferable skills that'll give them the maximum opportunity for choice in their career. Graduates may pursue roles in forensic science and criminal justice, but also in management, communications and the wider pharmaceutical, chemical and biological sectors.
