Foundation Program (091322F) + Diploma of Business (109014M) + Bachelor of Design/Bachelor of Business (090884B)

The Foundation Program is designed for international students who have not yet completed their high school education to the Australian Year 12 standard, or equivalent. It provides a bridge between secondary school and undergraduate studies to prepare them for entry to and success in university level studies across a broad range of study areas.

Whether students have ambitions of starting their own business or climbing the career ladder in a large organization, the Diploma of Business will give them the fundamental business and leadership skills to progress. On graduation, candidates will be able to take their pick from Queensland’s widest range of business majors, including Financial Planning, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Event Management and Real Estate and Property Development.

The Bachelor of Design/Bachelor of Business enables students to combine business management skills with a studio major, developing core competencies such as critical and analytical thinking, business communication and decision-making.

The Design program prepares graduates for diverse professional practice as designers through practical and theoretical learning. The first year focuses on the development of manual and technological skills, design thinking, problem-defining and solving. Students will gain an understanding of the changing role of design and how they can become leaders in the industry. In the following years, they will work on industry-related and research projects and specialize in selected studio areas.
