The Physical Science Degree is designed to give the student breadth in the physical sciences while providing considerable strength in one of the specialized physical science fields. The lower-division program is virtually the same as that taken in the first two years of college by a chemistry, physics, or geology major.

Optional Transfer

San Mateo - Cañada College is partnered with various universities and colleges to give interested applicants the opportunity to transfer to a four-year college or university after completing their associates degree or to transfer during their associates degree. Interested applicants should indicate their interest on the application form along with their intended partner university. San Mateo will provide students with the transfer requirements needed to guarantee a transfer. They still need to apply to the university during the regular period, which is usually one year in advance of the start date.
