University Pathways Fast Track at RMIT UP is an accelerated pathway designed for high-achieving international students, preparing them for university in half the time of a Foundation Studies course. Delivered over one semester by RMIT UP (CRICOS provider number: 01912G), a fully owned entity of RMIT University, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future academic success.

Located in the heart of Melbourne, RMIT UP’s specialist staff support students throughout their journey, while providing opportunities to build global and social networks that contribute to success at RMIT and beyond.

To ensure students get the best start to their studies, RMIT offers careers counselling, as well as academic and welfare support services that can be accessed flexibly.

University Pathways Fast Track features focused, discipline-based streams, allowing students to align their studies with their interests and goals. Available streams include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Art, Design and Architecture, Business, and Communication and Social Context.

Bachelor of Environmental Science (BP192P23) (110981J) The RMIT Bachelor of Environmental Science equips students with knowledge of environmental processes and allows them to specialise in areas such as environmental biology, environmental chemistry, and geospatial sciences. The program addresses major global challenges including climate change, habitat loss, pollution, and food and water security, requiring an interdisciplinary approach that draws on chemistry, biology, statistics, research, and earth sciences.

Throughout the degree, students engage in practical and industry-relevant activities, gaining hands-on experience with equipment in both laboratory and field settings. They participate in frequent field trips during their second and third years and work on collaborative projects that build practical skills.

These experiences are delivered in small group settings, encouraging teamwork and fostering a collaborative approach to environmental research and problem-solving.
