International Foundation Programme (IFP) - January

University of Reading

What you will study

The IFP International Foundation Programme – January University-led foundation programme and follows the same quality and assessment procedures as the rest of the University. The programme has been taught for more than 40 years and has gained an international reputation for excellence in both teaching and student support. Students can apply for scholarships to help fund their studies, and those aged 17 or over are eligible for accommodation in halls on the award-winning campus.

If a student is planning to come to the UK to study and does not have British A level qualifications or the equivalent, the International Foundation Programme (IFP) provides an opportunity to prepare for an undergraduate degree at a British university.

The IFP offers two entry points, one in September and one in January. At the University of Reading Global Academy, there is over 100 years of experience in international education, with world-class teaching, cultural insight, and ongoing personalised support.

The International Foundation Programme (IFP) enables progression to prestigious Henley Business School degrees at the University of Reading, as well as to most undergraduate degrees offered by the University. Henley is one of only 145 business schools worldwide to hold triple crown accreditation from the leading UK, European, and US accrediting bodies (AMBA, EQUIS, and AACSB).

The IFP has two entry points, in September and January. Degrees that cannot be progressed to from the January intake include most Science and Life Science degrees, Art and Media degrees, and certain programmes within the Institute of Education.
