The Level 6 Pre-Master’s Programme (PMP) is a two-semester programme, with guaranteed progression to a wide range of Master’s degrees at Loughborough University.

This Pre-Master’s Programme (PMP) is designed to prepare international students for postgraduate study in the United Kingdom. The PMP will allow them to improve their English while learning the study skills and research methods that they will need during their Master's degree studies. They will study academic modules relating to their chosen progression route. Each semester consists of thirteen teaching weeks, one reading week, and an assessment week. The weekly hours of study varies by semester with them on average studying around 18-21 (and up to 21) hours per week. Each module will have an assessment schedule, which will be completed by the end of the appropriate semester. Assessments will be designed to demonstrate learning across the individual modules of the programme and to allow them to experience a wide range of the assessment methods used in United Kingdom postgraduate programmes. Assessments will include coursework, essays, reports and other structured assignments, oral examination and unseen written examinations.

Master of Science - Finance: The Master of Science - Finance is an applied, broad-based master’s degree course that is CIMA accredited, CFA-affiliated and designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to work in a wide range of financial roles. The programme is best suited to those who wish to gain an in-depth understanding of the whole field of finance before choosing their preferred area of specialisation – the optional modules will allow them to tailor their degree to fit their career aspirations. They will learn both how to evaluate financial issues and to improve the practice of finance.
