What you will study

Develop an expertise in the planning and programming of construction operations with this BSc Construction Management course. This course is designed to prepare students for a successful career in construction management. Additionally, the degree is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Building and by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

The first two years are designed to develop a comprehensive understanding of the disciplines which underpin construction management and the surveying professions. There is an especially strong focus on project work and on interdisciplinary collaboration.

Students will also be encouraged to take up a placement over the summer between second and final years, for which they will gain credits which contribute towards their degree. Additionally, there is the option to spend a year in industry, in the UK or abroad.

The final year of the BSc Construction Management course is designed to develop the technical knowledge and practical skills needed for the management of construction operations. Complete a dissertation on a research topic of one's choice and a construction management project, in which one will plan the construction operations for a building project.
