Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Sociology and Psychology (LC38)
University of Greenwich
What you will study
The psychology element of the BSc (Hons) Sociology and Psychology degree will give learners an understanding of the brain, behavior and experience. This course includes studies of perception, memory and emotion and the development of language. Students will explore the way society works through sociological themes such as social justice, gender, crime and deviance, and ethnicity.
The two sides of this undergraduate course are brought together with an exploration of the socio-psychological processes that shape people's relationships with each other and the society.
The BSc (Hons) Sociology and Psychology course can be taken in sandwich mode, which means students can take a year to work in industry between their second and final years of study. Sandwich placements are relevant to their degree subject and are paid roles. Students are encouraged to take up Summer internships during the Summer holidays, though it is up to the student to find them.
This course provides an excellent foundation for future employment in many areas, including social work, public and social policy development, media, marketing and community development.
