Bachelor of Science - Financial Mathematics (G120)

University of Nottingham - Jubilee

What you will study

Student will study core first-year mathematics modules in topics such as calculus, probability and statistics. This will develop their skills in problem solving and analytical thinking. The year will include an introduction to business and finance, including accounting and insurance.

As they progress to later years of their degree, they will have more flexibility to choose topics from optional modules. In mathematics, they can explore advanced topics in mathematical finance and modelling, whilst developing expertise in finance and risk management in the Business School.

In their final year, they do a compulsory mathematics group project. This gives them the chance to work collaboratively on a substantial financial mathematics problem. They'll be supervised by expert teaching staff. This is an excellent opportunity to develop their report-writing and team-working skills.
