The Architectural Technician program prepares students with the technical skills and knowledge required to support the design and construction of residential and small-scale commercial buildings. Students learn to interpret and produce architectural drawings, apply building codes and standards, and use industry-standard software to develop design solutions.

The curriculum covers areas such as construction methods, building materials, architectural graphics, computer-aided design (CAD), and building information modeling (BIM). Students also gain an understanding of structural systems, environmental design, and sustainable building practices.

Through studio-based learning and hands-on projects, students develop the ability to create detailed drawings, models, and presentations while working collaboratively in a design environment. Emphasis is placed on accuracy, problem-solving, and adherence to professional and regulatory requirements.

Graduates are prepared for entry-level roles in architectural firms, construction companies, and related industries, where they assist architects, engineers, and project managers in the planning, design, and documentation of building projects.
