The Level 6 Pre-Master’s Programme (PMP) is a two-semester programme, with guaranteed progression to a wide range of Master’s degrees at Loughborough University.

This Pre-Master’s Programme (PMP) is designed to prepare international students for postgraduate study in the United Kingdom. The PMP will allow them to improve their English while learning the study skills and research methods that they will need during their Master's degree studies. They will study academic modules relating to their chosen progression route. Each semester consists of thirteen teaching weeks, one reading week, and an assessment week. The weekly hours of study varies by semester with them on average studying around 18-21 (and up to 21) hours per week. Each module will have an assessment schedule, which will be completed by the end of the appropriate semester. Assessments will be designed to demonstrate learning across the individual modules of the programme and to allow them to experience a wide range of the assessment methods used in United Kingdom postgraduate programmes. Assessments will include coursework, essays, reports and other structured assignments, oral examination and unseen written examinations.

Master of Science - Musculoskeletal Sport Science and Health: The Master of Science - Musculoskeletal Sport Science and Health programme allows students to adopt a multidisciplinary approach to the scientific study of sport and exercise related musculoskeletal health and performance including anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, bioengineering and kinesiology. They will also have the opportunity to carry out in-depth and critical research in selected areas of interest. The programme is delivered in connection with the National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine – East Midlands (NCSEM-EM), an Olympic legacy funded project aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of the nation.
