To effectively manage in the health care sector, it is important to have a solid understanding of the practical techniques required of a manager to support administrative and clinical operations and stakeholders. This program is designed to meet the needs of people who have completed a nursing program and who wish to pursue leadership, management, or administrative roles within healthcare.
This program will help students develop project management skills, practical communication techniques, and continuous improvement acumen in order to support operational efficiencies and effectiveness. Through theoretical and practical courses, students will be exposed to real-life situations that arise in the workplace and gain a strong set of practical tools, techniques, and practices to help you contribute to organizational success. Students will work individually and in groups developing their knowledge of health care management practices and focus on applying practical frameworks and models to help inform management practices.
