Program Description HIC offers University Foundation Studies for candidates who do not meet the direct entry criteria or hold high school qualifications that are not recognised. Upon successful completion of the pathway programme students will progress onto the University of Hertfordshire. Explore the full range of modern mathematics as students gain fundamental knowledge and advanced mathematical and statistical skills. Mathematics holds the key to advances in virtually all areas of our lives, from finance to computing, logistics to medicine and travel to weather forecasting. If students are looking for a career that involves shaping technological or scientific progress, mathematics is an ideal degree for them. What’s more, this flexible course allows students to specialise in whichever area of mathematics interests them most. Students will find the friendly and personalised approach in the small group tutorial besides their day to day lectures. At Hertfordshire they have particular teaching expertise in various areas of numerical modelling, financial mathematics, algebra, statistics, optimisation and mathematical physics. Students can even choose to take a year out to study abroad or undertake a placement.
