What you will study
Program Description If students have finished high school but don’t meet the entry requirements for university, a Foundation Certificate can help them gain entry to an undergraduate degree. BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), so students will be eligible to apply for registration with them when they graduate. Students will learn in industry-standard facilities where they'll observe and practice diagnostic procedures. Get to grips with operating highly specialized equipment such as the Shaderware virtual reality x-ray laboratory. Study the science that underpins effective diagnosis. Develop strong inter-professional and interpersonal skills.
The course has a strong practical focus, incorporating evidence-based learning, simulations and placements throughout. They'll engage with patients, clinical radiographers and other healthcare professionals on placements, in class and online. They'll spend about half the course on clinical work placements in the NHS and private healthcare organizations. There's also the chance to develop and apply the skills working abroad.
