Overview
This course is designed for individuals interested in careers in investment, financial trading, or risk management within the financial sector. It develops expertise across both traditional asset classes—such as equities, foreign exchange, and fixed income—and alternative investments, including commodities, infrastructure, hedge funds, private equity, and cryptocurrencies. Students gain a strong foundation in trading techniques, active risk management modelling, Python programming, and the use of Bloomberg terminals for real-world financial data analysis.
The programme places a strong emphasis on technology and employability. Students have the opportunity to earn professional certifications, including Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) and ESG credentials, at no additional cost. Through connections with financial professionals in London, as well as guest lectures and networking events, participants gain valuable industry insights. The curriculum is designed to support progression into roles within investment banking, asset management, and proprietary trading, complemented by practical experience opportunities such as on-campus professional practice, internships, or extended placements.
Graduates of the course may pursue a wide range of careers. These include roles such as Algorithmic Trading Analyst, Investment or Credit Analyst, Risk Management Professional, Portfolio Manager, Financial Analyst, and Corporate Financier.
