What you will study
The Sustainable Building Engineering degree program prepares students to design, develop and improve high-performance buildings with an emphasis on sustainability, energy efficiency and occupant wellbeing. The program integrates engineering fundamentals with building science, renewable energy, environmental design and intelligent building technologies.
Through lectures, laboratories and project-based learning, students develop skills in areas such as structural and mechanical building systems, heating and cooling, energy modelling, building automation, indoor environmental quality and sustainable construction. Students learn to use industry-standard tools, evaluate building performance and develop solutions that reduce energy consumption and environmental impact while meeting applicable codes and standards.
