South Dakota State University - Brookings
The world around humans is full of riddles waiting to be solved. Some have been small, like designing artificial sweetener by chlorinating a sugar compound. Others are monumental, like continually testing and modifying a compound that targets human cancer cells. The world needs creative thinkers to imagine and implement solutions for such puzzles. Such thinkers at the South Dakota State University are trained and equipped to conduct sound research and engage the challenges of our modern day. The University give students plenty of opportunities to experiment, direct research initiatives and discover their unique interests.
The Bachelor of Science in Chemistry courses are divided into five general areas: analytical, organic, inorganic, physical and biochemistry. In addition, there are courses in instrumentation and environmental chemistry.
