What you will study

The Master of Music (MMus) in Collaboration, Curation, and Creative Performance (C3) is a four-term sequential program that commences annually each Fall. Students will engage in courses that encompass academic, research, entrepreneurial, business, and creative fundamentals. These classes will prepare students for an experiential placement in an arts-based community or performance setting, while also facilitating connections with faculty and university partners. This program is unique in Canada due to its emphasis on collaboration. The Master of Music in Collaboration, Curation, and Creative Performance offers a comprehensive musical education. During the initial phase, students will participate in courses that cover academic, research, entrepreneurial, business, and creative foundations. The curriculum celebrates a diverse array of musical cultures, instruments, traditions, and genres, placing a strong emphasis on both collaboration and curation within the creative process. These courses equip students for an experiential placement in an arts-based community or performance setting. They will learn to navigate the dynamic landscape of Canada’s multicultural and interdisciplinary arts scene, taking into account Indigenous perspectives on the significance of music within society and the arts community.
