To teach music in junior high or high school, students will need a bachelor's degree in music with teacher certification in the subject. The music education major at WSU integrates teacher certification requirements with the music major so that students can work toward a music degree and teacher certification simultaneously. Supplemental Pre-Professional tracks are available for students interested in pursuing further professional education.
