Students will learn to apply specialized knowledge and evidence-based design tools in the planning and designing of functional interior spaces that promote health, safety and welfare while also supporting the diverse needs of a variety of end-users and enhancing their lives.
Students will also develop knowledge and skills in acoustics; casework, furnishings and equipment; ergonomics; human environmental behavior; interior materials and finishes; lighting; space planning; textiles; and social and environmental responsibility. With this strong background, students will be prepared to provide resilient, sustainable and adaptive design solutions that reflect technology and innovation.
