This MSc is designed to develop and further students' understanding and knowledge of respiratory medicine focusing on up-to-date research and developments in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases. The course is suitable for healthcare professionals, researchers and intercalating medical students. Students will receive training in the skills required in the reading and interpretation of the literature and translating that into evidence-based practice. The course culminates in the Research Dissertation, which will be assessed through the production of two articles in the style of published scientific work. The aim will be to develop these to publication with students if suitable. Aspects of the course content are mapped to the academic content of The Joint Royal Colleges of Physicians Training Board Speciality Training Curriculum for Respiratory Medicine.
