Overview
This programme combines psychology with the study of crime, criminal behaviour, and the criminal justice system. Students can explore psychological theories of behaviour alongside criminological perspectives on offending, victimisation, crime prevention, and justice. The course develops skills in research, critical analysis, evidence evaluation, communication, and understanding human behaviour within social and legal contexts. Students can investigate how psychological and social factors may influence criminal behaviour and how these perspectives can inform criminal justice practices. The programme is suitable for students interested in psychology, criminology, policing, criminal justice, and related fields. Graduates may pursue opportunities in research, criminal justice, community services, support roles, policy, policing-related environments, or further specialist study.
