University Pathways Fast Track at RMIT UP is an accelerated pathway designed for high-achieving international students, preparing them for university in half the time of a Foundation Studies course. Delivered over one semester by RMIT UP (CRICOS provider number: 01912G), a fully owned entity of RMIT University, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future academic success.

Located in the heart of Melbourne, RMIT UP’s specialist staff support students throughout their journey, while providing opportunities to build global and social networks that contribute to success at RMIT and beyond.

To ensure students get the best start to their studies, RMIT offers careers counselling, as well as academic and welfare support services that can be accessed flexibly.

University Pathways Fast Track features focused, discipline-based streams, allowing students to align their studies with their interests and goals. Available streams include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Art, Design and Architecture, Business, and Communication and Social Context.

The program combines contemporary educational theory with practical, hands-on experience, providing a strong foundation for a career in teaching.

Students can choose from several pathways, including the Bachelor of Education (Primary), Bachelor of Education (Primary and Early Childhood Education), and Bachelor of Education (Primary and Secondary). Each option prepares graduates for specific teaching contexts, from early childhood through to secondary education.

Across all pathways, students gain extensive classroom experience through professional placements in a variety of settings. They learn to create engaging and inclusive learning environments, develop their own teaching style, and build the confidence to support diverse learners.

By graduation, students are well prepared to meet the demands of modern classrooms, with the skills and knowledge required to work as specialist primary teachers or as educators across early childhood and secondary education contexts.
