Overview
The Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice is an undergraduate program designed to provide students with a foundational understanding of the criminal justice system and its key components. The course introduces the structure and functions of law enforcement, courts, and corrections, as well as the social and legal aspects of crime.
Students explore topics such as criminology, criminal law, policing, corrections, and ethics. The program emphasizes critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills, enabling students to understand the causes of crime and the processes involved in maintaining justice and public safety.
Through coursework and practical learning, students gain insight into real-world criminal justice issues and develop skills applicable to entry-level roles in the field. The program also serves as a pathway for those wishing to continue their studies toward a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or a related discipline.
Graduates are prepared for entry-level positions in law enforcement support, corrections, security services, and community justice roles, or for further academic progression.
