Individuals with an interest in healthcare and a desire to be part of the rapidly growing field of health services will find the Office Administration – Health Services program an excellent choice. Health services professionals are often the first point of contact for patients and clients. Graduates of this program develop the knowledge and specialized skills needed to become integral members of the healthcare team, providing essential administrative support in a variety of medical settings. Program Highlights: • Prepares students to perform diverse administrative functions that support patient care, requiring strong attention to detail, confidentiality, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment. • Provides practical experience through the use of a simulated clinical management system for patient scheduling, electronic health records, and OHIP billing. • Develops the ability to accurately transcribe medical correspondence and reports, with comprehensive training in anatomy and medical terminology. • Offers hands-on, experiential learning through a practicum that allows students to gain real-world experience in healthcare administration.
