Midwestern State University (MSU Texas) offers a Bachelor of Science in Education in Substance Abuse Counseling. MSU Texas' Substance Abuse Counseling program explores the root causes and contributing factors of addiction. This degree also prepares students to obtain their Chemical Dependency Licensure, which will allow students a career in the hospital setting, mental health clinics, substance abuse facilities, and private practice. MSU Texas' Substance Abuse Counseling program offers both a practicum and an internship.
