Undergraduate Foundation Program WSU’s Undergraduate Foundation program provides additional academic and/or English language support and personalized advising to help students smoothly transition to full university study. Students are unconditionally admitted to the university and graduate in the same amount of time as direct-entry students – they are just provided with additional support courses. Bachelor of Arts - Journalism and Media Production - Broadcast News The major in broadcast news focuses on writing, reporting, anchoring, and producing newscasts and shooting, editing, and producing news for radio, television, and online media. Students will become immersed in the journalism and multimedia production world through classroom and extracurricular opportunities. The degree focuses on developing reporting, editing and producing skills across all media platforms Students will also gain proficiency in the use of professional digital editing technologies and professional-level radio and television studios. All majors acquire a thorough understanding of the legal requirements and ethical implications of journalism and media production. Graduates with this degree pursue careers in radio, television, newspapers, and multimedia news and media production in the Pacific Northwest and around the world.
