What you will study

University Pathways Fast Track at RMIT UP is an accelerated pathway designed for high-achieving international students, preparing them for university in half the time of a Foundation Studies course. Delivered over one semester by RMIT UP (CRICOS provider number: 01912G), a fully owned entity of RMIT University, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future academic success.

Located in the heart of Melbourne, RMIT UP’s specialist staff support students throughout their journey, while providing opportunities to build global and social networks that contribute to success at RMIT and beyond.

University Pathways Fast Track features focused, discipline-based streams, allowing students to align their studies with their interests and goals. Available streams include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Art, Design and Architecture, Business, and Communication and Social Context.

Advanced University Diploma - Electronic and Communications Engineering (C6178) (103390B) The RMIT Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technology (Electronics and Communications) prepares students to begin careers designing electronic products and processes that have real-world impact. The program develops skills to design, validate, and evaluate electronic and communication equipment and systems.

Students also gain capabilities in risk management, project estimation and management, and providing technical and sales advice. The curriculum covers a wide range of areas, including programmable gate array technologies, circuit simulation, printed circuit board design, digital and analogue systems, amplifiers, analogue integrated circuit design, communication systems, mobile technologies, global positioning systems (GPS), microwave links, embedded controllers, AM/FM systems, computer programming, engineering software, project management, and computational solutions.
