Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Law with Criminology
University of Chester - Exton Park (Parkgate Road) Campus, Chester
What you will study
Program Description At Chester, they explore the relationship between criminological theories and criminal justice policies and practices. Students will gain extensive understanding of the technical aspects of the criminal justice process, and also learn about the way that criminology can help us examine the various 'harms' and 'crimes' that occur domestically and internationally.
Through wide-ranging backgrounds and expertise, and in ensuring a rich interdisciplinary approach at Chester, they work to expand students' criminological and victimological imagination. They encourage students to engage in independent learning and thought, and we equip you with the skills needed to find, retrieve and analyse an array of materials.
Across the Department they have an emphasis on being student centred. This includes students being assigned a Personal Academic Tutor (PAT) and highlighted drop-in times for students to visit lecturers.
By studying Law combined with another subject, students can develop academic and professional skills as they explore the fundamental areas of law alongside another academic discipline. Students will also benefit from additional activities that are arranged in the Law School such as mooting, debating, guest lectures, and events involving local legal professionals.
