Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Creative Writing and English Literature

University of Chester - Exton Park (Parkgate Road) Campus, Chester

What you will study

Program Description The Creative Writing course gives students the opportunity to develop the skills and techniques to become a creative writer in poetry, drama and fiction (flashes, short stories, novels), and also to write critically. Students will learn how their own work fits into the wider world of literature and contemporary publishing. At Chester, they are fortunate to have a number of highly successful published writers of fiction and poetry in the Department, who can share their insights with you. The Department’s commitment to contemporary literature, and its contacts with eminent authors, allow us to place students' degree studies in Creative Writing in an exciting wider context. They will also give students guidance on how they can get their work published, so that they can share their success with others.
