Launching in Fall 2025, the Master of Global Business and Economy (MGBE) is a 24-month course-based graduate program designed to equip students with the critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills needed to navigate today’s complex global business and economic landscape. Combining real-world data analysis with practical coursework, the MGBE prepares graduates for dynamic careers in international business, policy-making, and economic analysis.

Our students are part of a unique and innovative program. Algoma University is the first Canadian university to offer a Master of Global Business and Economy, providing a distinctive blend of business and economic studies with a strong emphasis on real-world application rather than abstract theories.

Graduates of this program can pursue careers in various sectors, including the

• Private Sector (such as Business/Economic/Management Consulting, International Trade, Business and Logistics), • Public Sector (as Policy Analyst, Researcher, Project Management) or with • Non-Profit Organizations (including International Development, Sustainability Consulting).

Prospective students are advised that offers of admission to a new program may be made only after the university’s own quality assurance processes have been completed and the Ontario Universities Council on Quality Assurance has approved the program.
