Overview

Studying law as 50% of the degree gives students a thorough understanding of the discipline of law and the role of law in regulating society; however law as a Joint (50%) option does not lead to a qualifying law degree. Law is an interesting and important subject for study, involving consideration of notions of justice, relationships with one another and with the state, and the processes for effecting change in society. Split the degree between the study of Spanish language and cultures and Law. Studying Hispanic Studies at 50% will enable students to become highly proficient in writing, reading, speaking and listening to Spanish with the option of studying a second Iberian language (Basque, Catalan or Portuguese) from Year Two.
