In particular, students will develop and extend their foundational IT skills and knowledge in cyber security, AI, and database development to ensure they can add maximum value in the workplace.
Articulated Program: The course is part of an articulated program of study and allows students to build on their studies to achieve the right level of qualification for them. The Master of Information Technology (MIT) at Sydney Met, an AQF Level 9 course, is crafted to align with the Australian Computer Society’s professional standards, emphasizing both technical expertise and ethical IT practices. Developed with industry consultation, the program prepares students for careers in the digital economy, focusing on high-demand fields such as Cyber Security, Networking, Data Science, and Information Systems. Students can complete the program in 2 years (full-time) or 1.5 years (accelerated). Practical experience is embedded through capstone projects and work-integrated learning. For added flexibility, students who cannot complete the MIT may exit with a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in Information Technology.
