The Advanced Carpentry Technology diploma is an exciting opportunity to earn the technical and career-ready skills needed to succeed as a carpenter in the construction industry.
This 2-year diploma is an alternative pathway into the carpentry trade without having to be a registered apprentice first, and can also serve as a pathway into apprenticeship and a Journeyperson certification or other construction related careers. In this program, students will focus on theory and hands-on training with the materials and processes required to construct, renovate and repair residential and commercial buildings and structures. Students will also have the opportunity to explore new and emerging technologies and systems such as High-Performance Energy Efficient building systems and trade related software.
Upon graduating from the Advanced Carpentry Technology diploma, students can enter the workforce having all apprenticeship technical training completed.
