If the student is unsure whether to major in political science, sociology, or legal studies, Southern New Hampshire University offers a strong alternative — the Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Law, Politics, and Societies. This interdisciplinary program allows learners to explore all three fields while building a solid foundation across the social sciences. Through the curriculum, students examine how law, politics, and society intersect in the United States and around the world. They also develop the skills and perspectives needed to understand today’s most significant social issues and prepare for impactful careers. Skills students learn include: • Identifying human beliefs and behaviors within a society
• Distinguishing among political frameworks in the U.S. and globally
• Conducting in-depth research and communicating effectively
• Analyzing social issues from multiple perspectives
• Applying critical thinking and real-world problem-solving
• Predicting likely outcomes of political processes
