The Faculty of Engineering at Lakehead University - Thunder Bay offers a uniquely designed four-year Bachelor of Engineering Degree program in Chemical Engineering, with a Co-op/Internship option available. As a chemical engineer, students will be skilled in the development, design, construction, and operation of industrial plants in which matter undergoes a change. Versatile and well-grounded in chemistry, physics and mathematics, students will also apply empirical engineering know-how to solve problems. Students will become involved in faculty research projects in biorefining, generating green energy from biomass, ore processing, or applying biomembranes and ultraviolet light in effluent treatment.
